What money values do you learn on holidays

When travelling on holidays with the family is it about throwing the kids into the hotel kids club, and for yourself to hit the poolside with a drink. Or is it about getting out and exploring the local culture, getting to know the people and area that you are staying in.

Being on holidays with the kids is a great starting point to teaching children the value of money, however I believe you can’t teach this until you know what value you place on money yourself.
